One great example of this comes from a customer of ours who manufactures a plastic product with a couple of different components. The customer was using glues and screws to bond the components together.

The screws were very small, and had to be installed by hand labor on an assembly line. Screws being drilled in the wrong place was the main cause of defects in their product. On top of that, the glues were messy, and took 25 minutes to set up.

When we first started looking at replacing the glue and screws with tape, the concern was that cutting the tape to a perfect shape would add even more labor than the screws.

Bron Converting was able to die cut double sided attachment tape into shapes, that perfectly fit where the manufacturer had to apply the tape, so they could just peel and stick the tape into place perfectly.

The customer was able to cut out defects (no screws in the wrong place), cut down on labor time (it was a lot faster for them to peel and stick double sided tape, than to measure and drill three screws), and set up time (the tape bonded in just a minute or two, while the glues had taken 25 minutes to cure).
