To ensure easy and clean removal of a protective window film, it's important to consider a few factors such as the type of film, the quality of the installation, and how long the film has been applied for.

Comparing window films

Start by determining if the protective window film you’re using is intended for temporary or long-term use.

Temporary window protection films, such as those used during construction or renovation projects, are designed to be removed easily and cleanly. These films typically use a low-tack adhesive that allows them to be peeled off without leaving residue or damaging the window surface.

It’s also important to know if your film will be exposed to UV rays in an outdoor application. If so, you will want to find a UV resistant window film such as BT-7067, BT-3273, or BT-7777.

BT-7067 has 12-month UV resistant properties, ensuring clean removal up to 12-months in direct UV exposure.

Do window protection films work?

Exterior window films do work and can play a crucial role in protecting windows during the transportation, handling, and installation processes.

Whether you're installing new windows or replacing existing ones, consider these conditions when selecting the right window film. This will save you rework while ensuring that your windows look great for years to come.
