Problem: Scaling from prototype to full production
Solution: Bron Converting
Results: Efficiency increase, reduced labor costs
A customer in Arizona met with an Application Specialist to scale their newest design, with the goal of increasing their production efficiency and reducing labor costs.
Backstory
They have been working for over a year on a prototype to get the approvals and certifications needed for this design. After obtaining all necessary paperwork and approvals, it was time to scale up the project.
A simple, yet very time-consuming, tape became a sticking point for them. During their prototype phase, the customer had an employee hand cut the tape from a larger roll and hand place a liner on the back side for them to use in their kit.
This resulted in a lot of labor hours spent cutting the strips and placing a liner. The customer eventually ended up online looking for a precut piece and found something close that was WAY out of their target cost. Both factors meant the current process was not sustainable for scaling...
